Roadsnacks.net has compiled a list of the most “miserable” N.J. towns based on crime, number of married couples and ‘sunny days,’ etc.
This isn’t a list you’d brag about.
But Roadsnacks website, a data compiler that specializes in creating lists that rate communities on how ”snobby” or “redneck” they are, went there, compiling a list that rates the most “miserable” towns in several states – including New Jersey.
Roadsnacks.net, which recently provided a list of N.J. Towns with the highest rate of Ashley Madison ”cheaters,” has compiled a list of the most ”miserable” towns using FBI crime data, the U.S. Census, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Sperling’s Best Places and Twitter.
The website also used this criteria:
- Percentage of residents with a college degree
- Average commute times
- Employment rates
- Cost of living
- Crime
- Sunny days
- Percentage of married couples
- Percentage of homeowners
“In order to rank the unhappiest places in New Jersey, we had to determine what criteria makes people happy,” the site says. “It isn’t a stretch to assume that happy people earn great salaries, are relatively stress free, have a stable home life and live where the weather is nice.”
